{"id":212,"date":"2011-01-17T08:00:12","date_gmt":"2011-01-17T13:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/amykazor.com\/?p=212"},"modified":"2024-05-16T11:41:34","modified_gmt":"2024-05-16T15:41:34","slug":"decisive","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/amyhood.biz\/site\/decisive\/","title":{"rendered":"Decisive"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>de\u00b7ci\u00b7sive<br \/>\nadj.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p><strong>1. <\/strong> Having the power to decide; conclusive.<br \/>\n<strong>2. <\/strong> Characterized by decision and firmness; resolute.<br \/>\n<strong>3. <\/strong> Beyond doubt; unmistakable: a decisive defeat.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><strong><em>Synonyms: <\/em><\/strong><strong> decisive<\/strong><strong>, conclusive<\/strong><strong>, crucial<\/strong><strong>, definitive<\/strong><strong>, determinative<\/strong><\/div>\n<div>It&#8217;s good to be decisive.\u00a0 It is also good to be careful.\u00a0 If decisive is a word to describe you, how do you manage that within a partnership?<\/div>\n<div>In many a pairing one person is more decisive than the other.\u00a0 This can leave the less decisive person feeling railroaded or left out depending on how <a title=\"Dominant: Which Traits Are You?\" href=\"http:\/\/faithfilledannualplanning.com\/site\/dominant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dominantly<\/a> the more decisive party behaves.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>If you are a naturally decisive person, watch to make sure you do not act too hastily when making your decisions. Careless and decisive are not a good pairing.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>If you are naturally indecisive you can work on these things to improve:<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Try not to &#8220;over-think&#8221; minor decisions.<\/li>\n<li>Try to set a time-table in which to make your decision.<\/li>\n<li>Be kind to yourself.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t bully a decision, give yourself room to sleep on it, but if you find you are procrastinating, keep that in check also.<\/li>\n<li>Try making a <a title=\"Decison Tree on Mind Tools Website\" href=\"http:\/\/www.mindtools.com\/dectree.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Decision Tree<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you aren&#8217;t the only one effected by the decision, implore the other parties as to their opinions and comments.\u00a0 But be careful with this one if the other person is a <a title=\"Dominant: Which Traits Are You?\" href=\"http:\/\/faithfilledannualplanning.com\/site\/dominant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">dominant<\/a> personality.\u00a0 Where to hold your wedding reception, for example, may be a decision to make with your fianc\u00e9 or family.\u00a0 What to wear on your wedding day, if you are the bride, is a decision you should make for yourself.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>As a business owner, the location of your business is a good decision to make with your partner.\u00a0 If you divide up the realms of the business and your strengths are buying product and your partner&#8217;s strength is doing paperwork, your gut is probably your best resource for your buying decisions.<\/div>\n<p><!-- AddThis Button BEGIN --><\/p>\n<div class=\"addthis_toolbox addthis_default_style addthis_32x32_style\">\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>de\u00b7ci\u00b7sive adj. 1.
