Life happens on a schedule&#8230; th<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-2628 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/faithfilledannualplanning.com\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/91.png\" alt=\"Learning and growing\" width=\"258\" height=\"258\" srcset=\"https:\/\/amyhood.biz\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/91.png 800w, https:\/\/amyhood.biz\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/91-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/amyhood.biz\/site\/wp-content\/uploads\/91-300x300.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 258px) 100vw, 258px\" \/>en something changes, and our stance changes.<\/p>\n<p>When we had a cat, life was easy. We could come and go and do things with a fair amount of flexibility.<\/p>\n<p>We got our dog, Finlay, and suddenly we had to make different choices and preparations to be away from home for periods of time.\u00a0Our stance changed.<\/p>\n<p>When I first learned to shoot, I learned the isosceles\u00a0stance. I shot that way for a long time. A month ago I began to learn more about defensive shooting, and a more defensive stance. Turning my body to the side so that I am a narrower target. How I hold myself in relation to others had to change.<\/p>\n<p>Relationship stances are similar. We all have a stance with how we relate to our our spouse, children, friends and family, and even clients and customers. Learning to shift unhealthy stances creates better relationships.<\/p>\n<p>We can have a protective stance with others, not let them in\/close. We can be unhelpful, guarded.<\/p>\n<p>We can\u00a0have no boundaries, and a stance of them being more important that us, or we can have healthy boundaries and a stance of mutual importance, equality.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an interesting way to view change&#8230; through viewing a shift in our stance. I had not considered this before and am sitting with it now.<\/p>\n<p>Looking at changes I wish to make in my own life and examining the stance I currently have.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Some houseguests are easier than others.<\/li>\n<li>Working out sucks.<\/li>\n<li>Breaking for lunch is hard.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These are stances I currently have that I wish to change.
